Remembering Richard Hunt

By Kermit the Frog (as told to Gabe Liebowitz)

Kermit the Frog

Richard was a very gifted man and brought to life my very best go-fer (well, my very only go-fer) Scooter. In a way, as said before, Scooter WAS Richard Hunt. Scooter did cause problems around the theater, from the robot of me to getting his way all the time because his Uncle owned the theater. But he was still sweet, lovable, kind, gentle, just like Richard.

Next comes Sweetums. Sweetums was a big help around the Muppet Theater. Always keeping my nephew Robin occupied from time to time.  Helpful, crazy, and always eager to do something. That's Richard.

Coming to Sesame Street, I remember those good ol' days with Don Music, that memorable song-writer. Trying to write those golden oldies that turned out better than the original ones. Don was talented, silly and sometimes stressed out. Guess who he resembled to? If you guessed Michael Jackson take a hike! I'm talking about Richard Hunt.

It was an honor for me to write a tribute to Richard Hunt. Being a frog and all.
