Dark Crystal Figures (1982)

Hasbro in conjunction with its Aviva Toy Company subsidiary, developed a line for "The Dark Crystal". Each of the six main characters came with a piece of the magical crystal which could be assembled when you "collected 'em all". Pictured are: Jen, Kira, Pod Peasant and Slave Pod Peasant.

Three additional larger figures - the Landstrider, Mystic, and Garthim - were also in the original group slated for release. Development proceeded to printed cards and tooling for at least the four figures shown.

The line, however does not appear in the Hasbro catalogs from 1983 or 1984. The four carded figures known to exist are among the rarest Henson creature collectibles as they were never officially released wide scale for action figure production.

Dark Crystal Adventure Collection (1982)

Pinnacle Products released a small run of miniature die-cast Dark Crystal figures as part of their Adventure Collection Miniatures series. These figures were available in hobby stores. The sets were scarcely seen, but are among favorites of Dark Crystal collectors.

  1. Set 9001 includes: Jen holding up the crystal shard, Kira, UrZah the Master, Podling playing a flute, Podling on bench playing a guitar-like instrument, Podling child, and Fizzgig.
  2. Set 9002 includes: Aughra, SkekUng the Garthim Master, three Podlings, and a table.

Labyrinth Magic Slate (1986)

Western Publishing Company released this magic slate.

It allows one to draw designs and then lift the sheet of plastic to erase everything and start over, similar to an Etch-a-Sketch. Favorite characters from Labyrinth are on the sides and the top.
