When you're right, you're right... Excellent ideas. And I'll accept the cop out that I didn't write those. But I vow to work Bean in the next time the opportunity arises! thanks.

Bean I'll concur with that. Bean is a fun character. Who can forget "Bean-bo"? But the "I'm cute so they don't have to be" didn't have a lot of legs for the creative team. Hard to place that very specific POV into every production...though sometimes it is deliciously perfect.

The ask Jim Lewis thread is now open

Whatever Happened to Jim Lewis? It's me. Jim Lewis. Pardon and forgive me for disappearing. Dwayne has done such outstanding job and then I blew it by not responding. I'm blaming it on technology and age: either my computer ate it or I'm just too thick-skulled to post the answers. Pick your...

To Minor Muppetz That's a fine idea. How do I do it? Jim L

made 'em up Those movie titles were made up. As for MM II; that may be true, at least as a working title. I wasn't around when Caper was made. I'm curious and will try to find out.

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

Fessin' Up How do I personally feel about the way the Muppets are going? What have I learned? I’ve learned that despite the chaos, craziness, counterintuitive nonsense and unspecified mayhem, if you believe in the Muppets and what they’ve always been, then somehow things will work out in the...

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

Dear Super Scooter... Apparently I don't have enough posts to qualify for a private reply to your private message, so here's you're answer in public: all the writers contributed to the myriad variations of that song. As for posting it, I have no authority to say anything either way about that...

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

True story... Indeed. That's a story Charlie Gibson told on air when Kermit visited GMA several years back. And it's the reason Kermit has come back everytime Charlie retires...again. As for the book: half-and-half. They wanted an advice book, Kermit wanted to do an autobiography. So, you get...

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

What I Know... ...could fit into the navel of a gnat and still leave room for three caraway seeds and my agent's heart. (Fred Allen, the radio great, said that; wish I did). But it's true. The fact is, I get my best info by checking MuppetCentral. And besides, if I did tell you some deep...

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

No One Told Me This Was Habit-forming First, I'm not Mr. Lewis. Please, call me Jim. Second, any odd choices in the book (e.g. leaving out "Swamp Years" and "Muppets From Space") are purely my own, and have less to do with rational decision making and more to do with the selective memory that...

Look! "Before You Leap" is an amazing book

Aw shucks. I've been coming here for years, just never had the nerve to write. And remember, I'm just a fan who found himself sitting next to Jerry Juhl one day saying "I got plenty of set-ups, you got any punchlines?"...As for more books, it's not for me to say, but I hope so.

Forgive me Yeah, I ghosted it, though I prefer to think of it as channelling the frog. And yes you are right, there are too many pig jokes. (One loses track, then one regrets. Promise it won't happen again.) And my sincere apologies for omitting Richard. It was an inexplicable oversight. I...
