Want to make a puppet with Miss Piggy coverings

Diego, I understand now. I haven't had a lot of experience with foam latex but it is self skinning so no, you wouldn't need to skim off the top layer. That will become the outside of the puppet skin. Hope that helped!

Want to make a puppet with Miss Piggy coverings

Ok, no. The flocking is applied directly to the puppet head. It is not a covering that can be removed. Think of flocking as thousands of tiny little fur fibers. That is what creates the nap or texture. A layer of glue is laid down over the object to be flocked and then flock is applied. The...

Your Thoughts: Lady Gaga and The Muppets Holiday Spectacular on ABC

Ummm. Actually it's her second holiday special. It felt too much like New Year's Rocking Eve with Lady Gaga and Muppet bumpers thrown in. It just didn't gel.

Crazy Chris's Most Sensantional Inspirational Celebrational Muppet-ational Replica FAN FILM PROJECT

Chris, This is an interesting project. I've always wondered how long it would take for someone to make a Muppet Fan Film. Half thought about it myself but I have bigger projects on the forefront for now. Some thoughts on your greenscreen. Obviously, somebody mentioned Kermit since you used...

Music Video: "All I Need is Love" with CeeLo Green and The Muppets

Here's my .02 cents. Ok, more like $3.00... I kinda liked the video. I do agree with everyone it seemed a little all over the map. I think it could have used a stronger concept but that just splitting hairs. It was good to see the characters as themselves in a normal (are they ever really?)...

How to begin building a Miss Piggy Replica?

I think most people are assuming that the final product will be in clay thus making the puppet very heavy. That's not how this works. As Muppetperson said - The clay is only there to make the positive shape you want to cast (i.e. the sculpture). The final product will made from very lightweight...

How does the flocking get applied to Miss Piggy?

It's my understanding that flock is made up of textile fibers like cotton, rayon, nylon or polyester, not feathers. There are a couple of different ways to apply it. The electrostatic application is one way. It can also be sprayed or transferred on. Yes. They first they lay down an adhesive...

I might be buying this Pepe replica

GoldenGonzo, I'm not sure what it is about the making and selling of replicas in this particular fandom that riles people up so (you don't see that in other fandoms) but it's a hot button here. In other fandoms people kit-bash and produce garage models, sell customized action figures (also...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

GonzoLeaper & All, First of all, I don't need your apology. You can state your opinion without quoting chapter and verse. I'm a big boy and I can tell you exactly what part of the Bible you are sourcing as "evidence" to support your beliefs and theories. Since this is not a trial, nor a...

Want to make a puppet with Miss Piggy coverings

IvannaPuppet, Miss Piggy is made from foam latex. It is poured into a mold and then "cured". To get the fuzzy texture on her face the puppet is then flocked with tiny fur fibers. That gives the puppet texture. Fragglerockr

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

Ok, then so by your logic we can say and do anything we want as long as we personally believe it's fact? That's not dangerous at all. Not once was the Bible even mentioned in the original topic. So, to argue is it right or wrong is futile. Listen, no one made this a religious...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

Heralde, I agree with Drtooth and D'Snowth's point of views. I think that a person's particular belief about religion does not have a point in this conversation and that GonzoLeaper (is sometimes) pushing his views on everyone and stating them as facts. I am not attacking anyone. Heralde you...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

Heralde, I get what you're saying. You've made the point a couple of times now. What I'm saying is, is any of this on topic? If the thread is dead and people just want to discuss religion, I can do that too. I got this topic covered and then some! If people want to have a friendly debate about...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

Bannansketch, Woah! You need to slow down. I think you need to go back and re-read all his posts. I am 110% civil. Just because I can hold my ground in a conversation does not mean I am angry. However, GonzoLeaper chose some inflammatory words stating that homosexuality was an "indulgence" and...

Sesame Workshop Trying To Have It Both Ways(Bert/Ernie issue)

It had zero to do with the topic. It was brought about because this person doesn't like the fact that anyone (including puppets) could/should be misconstrued as homosexual. Because that would just be wrong. LOL Fragglerockr
