I was 11 and a half in May 1990 when Jim died, in my final year at primary school (England) and it definitely felt like a big part of my childhood was over. He was such an inspiration to me as a kid. I've always enjoyed drawing and during primary school I would say probably 90% of my drawings...

that exhibition looks brilliant, would definitely take my kids along if it came to UK. Also, don't know about anyone else but still hate seeing 'Disney's The Muppets' or copyright Disney on Muppet products these days. Hensons' name should be on there!!
Would be interesting to see if they could even do an exhibit like this today, given that all these franchises are now under different ownership - Muppets under Disney, Fraggles / Labyrinth etc under Henson, and Sesame under the Sesame workshop.
yeh, was great. Haven't got photos but they also had some animatronic stuff from Labyrinth and Turtles I think (I remember being able to control a turtle's face on a demo thing they had). Shame this museum closed as they had some great visiting exhibitions like this one. Somewhere my mum also...
