    Muppets at the Smithsonian

so elaborating on my previous question: did any of you lucky people see anyone using a video camera or non-flash still camera unmolested? i understand why they'd not want flash pictures, but don't want to drive up there and find out i could have taken the mini-dv and used available light.

    Muppets at the Smithsonian

thank you. so far, the only mention i can find in other online searches is that no "flash or tripod photography" is permitted. doesn't say anything about non-flash or video. would still appreciate hearing from anyone who can add more details.

Who created the song Mahna Mahna?

jim might have heard it on the radio. i remember playing the song on a capitol records 45 during my first radio job, which would have been late 60s. i think i still have that disc...no one wanted it after a few plays, so i took it home. it was by no one i've ever heard of before or since...

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

by all means, write letters and petitions if that will help you feel better. in reality, the only thing we can do that will matter now is to vote with our wallets. support the things you can believe in: quality re-issues of classic material (un-edited, mind you) muppet 3D in the...

How many "extra" Muppets are needed for a movie?

it depends on what they need the character to do. while i don't pretend to work in the workshop, i remember that on elmo's grouchland movie, there was one basic "hero" version kevin used mostly. there were others with bendable wire skeletons for posable shots, one radio controlled version...

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

from a "so-called" fan if refusing to open the hymnal and sing "praise eisner" without question is enough to get me labeled a "so-called fan", i have just one retort.......and i can't use it here. know your target better before you shoot off your big mouth. that's only funny when a muppet...

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

the animosity...or is it "animal-mouse-ity"?...toward the idea of a disney-muppet co-venture is not completely unfounded. anybody remember all the same kind of b.s. being spouted by brian and mr. bob iger when abc was all set to enter this wonderful creative partnership with the jim henson...

    Henson sells Muppets to Disney

semantics meaning in no way to besmirch your love for the muppets and all things henson....but what makes you think there's going to be any more jim henson company logos on ANYTHING? from now on, it's "DISNEY's Muppets".

    Assembly question for Dr. Strangepork

...or anyone else who knows the proper way to use those two spear-like accessories i thought went with the robot in the stragepork figure package. they look like antennae, but i couldn't find anywhere they'd fit. i'd like to put them in place before link hurts himself on one. thanks.

    A Christmas Toy

it's very good. and it also contains more than a few elements that would show up in the "toy story"universe sometime later. ...a under-rated gem, too rarely broadcast.
