I've been a fan of Jim Henson's since his days doing Wilkins Coffee Commercials. I followed the careers of Rowlf on the Jimmy Dean Show, Kermit, of course, and have never missed an episode of The Muppet Show. I also taped a PBS show called, "Here Come The Puppets" hosted by Jim and Kermit. (still have it!) Later on, I became a fan of The Dark Crystal, even before the film came out. I saw the Craft and Folk Art Museum (Los Angeles) exhibit of the characters, and then the film. It really knocked the socks off the film industry's creative community, and has served as inspiration for a lot of people on the creative end of things. Now, Brian Henson is carrying on the tradition, with the instant-mocap-to-animation of Sid the Science Kid. Inspiration + innovation = The Jim Henson Company. Wow!
