A few comedy spoofs and parodies will never, ever change what The Muppets are remembered for. As I said before there are some very old and very dark and low brow jokes about Superman and Mickey mouse but that's not what we think of when we remember them.

You should you see some of the pre-Muppet show skits. Jim Henson wasn't always wholesome and sweet. He had a dark humour streak, himself. Remember, this is the man who had a dwarf ******* in a lake.

There's a difference between actually damaging a reputation and just being a sense of humour you don't get or like. That's a matter of taste, not ethics, especially when it's not really corrupting anything and certainly not meant for children or shown at a time when children are even awake...

To each their own but I think you're over reacting a bit to some dark humour toward something you grew up with. Sometimes it's good to sit back, relax and make fun of the things you love.

Spoofing something is quite different from outright slandering something. Look at Mel Brooks, he parodies things he likes. Do you think he made Space Balls out of hatred of Star wars? No. He loves it. Things like Robot Chicken take a very, very long time to make. Seth Green only makes fun...
