Oh...my...goodness. I remember that sketch when I was little (the screen going white at the end and everything)!! That totally used to freak me out as a kid. The scary blue monster was Beautiful Day Monster. When he made a little cameo on The Muppets TV show a few years ago, I freaked out...
I LOVED his Link Hogthrob...I am sad that I didn't get to hear more of Link being performed by Steve. The only other performer I can think of to do Link justice would be Bill Barretta since he sounded so much like Link with his David Hoggselhoff character from Muppets Tonight.
Another thing...
Another good one! It cracked me up to hear Strangepork say "Linkie". I always found it funny when he called Link that in the classic sketches. Miss Piggy calling them "total asteroids" had me burst out laughing! Seeing most of Steve Whitmire's left arm as Link "hams" it up with the Kermit...
It must have been...I can't imagine who else would have voiced Link. Steve is doing such a great job with him...he has the voice down really well. I can't wait until next Friday's "The Gravity of the Situation" debuts! I have watched this sketch more times than I am willing to admit...hee hee.
That was gross yet very funny! I like how it didn't take the predicable route of a Miss Piggy karate chop ending. I'm so glad that I was emailed by Muppet Central about this wonderful announcement. Link is absolutely adorable in this and Dr. Strangepork sounds fabulous. Sigh....love, love...
Janice and Floyd are my fav Muppet couple, fer sure! They were so sweet singing "Home". I just wish that Floyd could have sang "oh my my" instead of "Jesus Christ" in the one lyric of the song. Besides that, I loved the whole performance. Also, hearing Dr. Teeth sing a cover of "Ophelia" by...
I finally saw my beloved Link! Yay!! I like that he was talking to another pig, no other than Howard Tubman (I couldn't make out the dialogue but hearing Link's muffled macho voice in the background sent my heart a-flutter :flirt:). I thought it was an interesting (in a good way!) choice to...
I loved the moments with Pache and Sweetums. It's great to see so many characters speak again with more than one line! Big Mean Carl with the swallowed cell phone cracked me up, too!
Cute video! I wasn't expecting to see the Pigs in Space characters. I wish I could order some of the photos that were shown throughout the video!! I felt a little bummed seeing Link get punched by Miss Piggy. I guess she felt that he was hamming it up too much during the photo shoot. *kiss...
Wow...you lucky duck! I bet you spent a lot of time viewing all that good stuff! I left with the biggest smile on my face...I hope to return there soon!
Dr. Teeth mentioned making his tooth out of gold records on The Tonight Show in 1975 (Jim Henson pulled Dr. Teeth out from behind the chair he was sitting in while talking to Johnny Carson and Johnny said "oh, it's Dr. Tooth!"...Jim gently corrected him :jim:). I took a day trip to NYC...
Yes, it is! Great to see lots of minor Muppets! I got my Link Hogthrob fix....yay! :flirt: I think I'll go back and watch it another dozen times...LOL.
Wow! I didn't know they were doing that! I hope that they're good and don't have typical Miss Piggy karate chop endings. I loved the PIS sketches that had guest stars in them. With the new green screen technology, I look forward to what they can do with the characters!
