Custom Clothing for Photo Puppet Replicas?

Be aware, especially if someone is making clothes from scratch, that Gonzo has really long arms and no shoulders. While a sweater vest can work (my Gonzo is wearing one), even that would have to be altered to fit correctly. Look carefully at pictures of him and you'll see what I'm talking...

Thanks for posting this. Made me laugh out loud! :p

eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

Just to be clear, I'm not a spokesman for the company. So, my calling out fans for griping has nothing to do with any sales campaign that eFX might produce. I was just trying to correct the notion that if they really wanted to make these, they would already be made. My opinion on the delay...

eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

Sure, they could go into production on them tomorrow. How much do you want to pay for them? I've seen plenty of griping on here about what the price may or may not be and almost everyone says, "Well, if it's over x amount, count me out!" So, the problem for eFX is trying to balance quality...

    Copyright...PLEASE HELP!

I have to agree with aaronmojo on this. You're on very thin legal ice. For instance, you have a blue furry monster with a long nose and bushy eyebrows named "Harry" that looks so close to Sesame Street's Herry Monster that, at the least, they could be mistaken for brothers, if not fraternal...

Will pay $800 for a new MR Kermit...

I wish people would stop saying things like this. I don't know the person trying to sell his Kermit, but here's the thing about collectibles... There's no set price! They are worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. Especially on e-Bay, prices can vary wildly. I've seen mint...

    Double-sided tape and/or pins?

The pins are generally t-pins. They have flat heads that can be hidden in the nap of the fleece, but are also easy to remove. They work really well for noses and ears. Eyes you're pretty much stuck with double-sided tape. You can dirty it up a little bit and it won't pull off as much fleece...

    TVTV at Atlanta Wizard World

The last time I traveled with a puppet, I got a hard rolling box from an office supply store, then put that in a cardboard box and shipped it ahead. The day I was leaving, I shipped it back to myself so I would beat it home.

    Any Tips for Arm Fatigue?

Actually, the Muppets do this all the time when they are in a situation where they have to be lower than standing. I actually own the chairs that they used on "The Muppet Movie". I bought them at an auction right after the movie wrapped and I had seen them being used on the set. The really...

    eFX's Rizzo Thread

Well, I think that kind of goes without saying...although it's been said a bunch of times already ;). You're right that they will never match a completely handmade product with a factory made product. But I think they can get closer than MR did. Especially when MR pulled stuff like...

    eFX's Rizzo Thread

The armature is very simple. You can see pictures of it on the eFX website. That's the easiest part of building these. It's all the details that are the sticking points. If you start eliminating the details, then you would no longer have a replica OR a realistic looking plush. :p

    eFX's Rizzo Thread

I don't know what kind of plush toys you guys are buying, but I've never seen a plush that could be mistaken for a real Muppet or even a poser. Unless you guys have some other definition of a plush toy that I'm not familiar with. High-end plush like Steiff are still plush toys. No one is...

I'm sure the plush license is available if someone wanted it. It just won't come from eFX. They make replicas. That's what business they've chosen to be in. :p

eFX Collectibles to produce Muppet Replicas

I understand what you're saying here and this is just my personal opinion: I'm only interested in this line as replicas. I don't collect toys anymore. I don't have anyplace to put them. And if it's not a replica, then it's just a high-end toy. We've been over this before, and I know many...
