Can we PLEASE implement a rule against bumping old threads?

I think that after half a decade if no one contributes than they should just close it, THAT IS if it's something that could eaisly be found out nowadays, like if someone made a thread in 2002 called "Is MT on DVD?" and no one knew, then in 2008 that thread should've been locked and no longer open to any more replies. Though, if it's something like "MT: Will it Ever Hit DVD?" then it should be left open for further replies. That's my 2 cents.

Sorry for bumping a two-year thread, I just had to say that.

Someone bumped a 10 year old thread about potential Muppet Show Action Figures to list random characters they'd like to see.

Too many were listed. The characters were all trifling 5th stringers that no one would buy. And did I mention the company that made the figures has been bankrupt?

If that doesn't prove we need rules about thread drudging, I don't know what will.
