I'm gonna list some bands I like, and my favorite song from each:

Oingo Boingo (Mary & Not my Slave)
Journey (Separate Ways)
Rolling Stones (Sister Morphine)
Rock Sugar (Straight to Rock City)
Boston (More than a Feeling)
Aerosmith (Walk this Way)
Elton John (Bennie & the Jets & Candle on the Water)
Kiss (Rock and Roll all Night)
Def Leppard (Photograph)
Jefferson Starship (Jane)
Bring me the Horizon (Hospital for Souls & Sleepwalking)
Black Veil Brides (Knives and Pens)
Oomph (a German band) (Labyrinth & Gott ist ein Popstar)

Sadly, I haven't seen any of these guys in concert, although I almost caught Lynyrd Skynyrd @ Universal Mardi Gras

Gotta love Dio! May his metal soul rest in paradise!

My top 3 happen to be
Megadeth
Dio
Ozzy.

How is Megadeth live, by the way? I've been dying to see them. Dave Mustaine happens to be my inspiration for playing guitar.

I recently saw Alice and Motley Crue live. They were amazing. I saw KISS and Def Leppard not too long ago as well!

You are asking this on a muppet fan site? The Electric Mayhem, even if it does not count will always be my favorite rock band or band of all time.

I recently watched two concert DVDs: one featured Phil Collins at the 2004 Montreaux Music Festival, and the other one featured Santana at the same festival in 2011. Both artists have definitely proven themselves to be two of the best of all time.

Megadeth is awesome live. No flaws whatsoever. Dave is so crazy!

Wow, so you saw the same two tours I saw. How funny!

You're gonna hate me for this, but I got to see Billy Sheehan (when he was with Mr. Big) opening up for Rush, around 1991, when they were touring "Presto".

Great show. Boston, not so much. Some arena/stadium acts get locked in to doing the same set night after night. Like clockwork, after the third song, they acknowledge the audience, " HOWYADOIN PHILLY/HARTFORD/JERSEYWELOVEYOU!!!!!" Gets old real fast.

Grateful Dead, totally different set every night.

Part of me wishes that Megadeth didn't have to tune down a step for Dave's voice, but it works. Have you heard his voice around the Rust in Peace 20th tour and The Big 4? When Dave hit high notes his voice cracked and it sounded like a high pitched moaning sound. That's why on the Big 4 DVD Dave had to overdub some of his vocals.

That is really cool! Billy is an insane bassist, the venue I saw him at only sat around 150 people, so I was really close to him. He was doing some pretty crazy stuff!

Wow, I didn't realize that. To be honest, he was never a great singer. Though he doesn't need to be with the guitar playing he does.

I saw part of the Big 4 on VH1. I didn't know he re-dubbed his vocals. (But what band hasn't?)
