Episode 11: The Imaginary Snuffleupagus Saga

Scene 1:
Murray announces that today, we look back at something from the past.... Long, long ago, everybody had mistakenly thought that Mr. Snuffleupagus was Big Bird's imaginary friend.

Segments:
  • Big Bird meets Mr. Snuffleupagus

Scene 2:
Murray cringes slightly over how Snuffy originally looked, but notes that he was always real, but nobody but Big Bird saw him.

Scene 3:
Murray tries to figure out how Snuffy could have gone unseen for so long... As Snuffy shows up behind Murray, unable to get his attention.

Scene 4:
Snuffy finally gets Murray to see him, and talks about the time he and Big Bird had a race together.

Snuffy also mentions the time he ran in the New York Marathon, and got to meet Forgetful Jones.

Scene 6:
And then Snuffy mentions how he came in last in the race, and almost got to meet Gordon and Susan then.

Scene 7
Snuffy mentions that he met Telly before the others met him.

Scene 8:
Snuffy mentions that he had trouble seeing Big Bird's friends when they went to the movies.

Snuffy mentions that Big Bird once believed that Snuffy was just his imaginary friend.

Scene 10:
But Snuffy says that the day finally came when the adults all finally saw that Snuffy was real.

Scene 11:
Snuffy is happy that everybody can now see him, and Murray is happy he can see him, and several characters (Big Bird, Elmo, Abby, Cookie Monster, Grover, Telly, and Baby Bear) show up and are all happy that he's real.

Authors Note: I would have liked to have mentioned some scenes from season 16 where Maria, Gordon, and Linda decide to believe in him, if only I knew details of such scenes.

Episode 12: Songs

Scene 1:
Murray announces that today's show will be full of songs, so let's SING!

Episode 20: Imagination Fun

Scene 1:
Murray imagines that we'll enjoy this show, because it's themed around imagination.

Scene 2:
Murray decides to imagine some of his friends.He imagines that Elmo, Grover,, Ernie, Bert, and Big Bird are all there (their imaginary forms appearing as chalk illustrations). Murray then decides to imagine Mr. Snuffleupagus, who just happens to show up, and Murray's impressed at how real his imagining skills are this time.
