I can see why Fox forbid one episode of High School USA from airing now that FXX finally showed it. It's about the dumb blond of the group finding out her parents are porn stars and her friends helping her win back her friendship with them, and it's as abhorrent as you can imagine. :grouchy:

Eh. Somehow I just imagine it trying to be offensive funny and coming off as tedious. Like every other episode.

It's sad that a parody version of Archie is actually less funny than its inspiration. I really don't like how Animation Domination puts all the effort into lesser cartoons than it could for Axe Cop. Still, Stone Quackers is one show I'd gladly never see again. It's just lazy and poorly done all over. Really wish there'd be more adult animation like Rick and Morty and Venture Bros. Something deconstructive and clever, rather than amounting to third grader that heard the F word the first time and keeps shouting it at recess.

Yes. Yes it does.

And it's a shame, since the creator was behind the brilliant religious deconstruction Moral Orel. And that show had some genuine heart to it, which unfortunately didn't rub off on HSUSA in any way. About the only thing I like is T.J. Miller being perfectly cast as the jerk jock character.

That said, I wouldn't say so much HSUSA is one of the worst things I've ever seen, so much as a disappointment. Strange that Archie Comics didn't try and sue them back into the stone age, as they're litigious as heck.

I can't believe that Nicktoons keeps NFL Guardians on the schedule. It's bad in a hilariously bad way, but obnoxious as well. How come the US rarely sees a good Sports cartoon, while that genre's a staple in Japan? They can't make a good cartoon about football and just tie it into the NFL? They have to make some weird Power Rangers knockoff with a Cobra Commander knockoff as the villain? The only thing the show's got going for it is its sheer stupidity, insanity, and uglyness. But the fact they couldn't come up with a better concept than Child soldiers who have to save football to save the world for some reason just shows how inept they are. Come on? A funny cartoon about wacky football players? Even something that amounts to an American version of Eyesheild 21? Nope. And I do love how they think they're trying to be like the DIC Carmen Sandiego cartoon with random NFL team facts that seem awkwardly shoehorned in.

And the team homunculus mascots... Next time, NFL, do football and leave the cartooning to someone who understands how cartoons work.

Axe Cop got a 2nd season after all! Thanks, FXX!

They've also got this new show called Major Lazer, which is essentially an adaptation of an electronic music project starring a Jamaican superhero fighting against a dystopian society, with a lot of pot involved, too. The musical numbers and trippy '80s cartoon visuals are worth are worth a view alone.

Taking the lead from Adult Swim and waiting 2 years per season, I see. Sucks it's on FXX, but I think I actually got it for realz this time. Gotta check out Major Lazer too. It looks quite good.

Funny thing, though... I never hear anyone talk about Stone Quackers. Apparently, it's the same people behind the Neon nightmare ug-fest Problem Solverz. They certainly know how to make a cartoon eye bleeding. The duck characters in that look like some 1980's T-shirt mixed with Five Nights at Freddies characters. Specifically that duck, is it? The one with the "Let's Eat" bib on? Yeah, they all look like that. And somehow, they roped John C Reily into it as well. Waste of talent, if you ask me. This show sucks so bad it deserves the cast of Garsey's Wing constantly shouting every line.

While I have to admit, I certainly won't list it as a "worst" cartoon, I just don't get the appeal of China, Il. Babycakes is just the most obnoxious and labored attempt at making a breakout adult cartoon character ever. He's big, ugly, stupid, and has a goofy voice. Yeah. He's no Meatwad. The show just comes off as a bad adult cable sitcom with something tacked on that only works in animation. And I really hate the ugly artwork. While Stone Quackers is a blinding Neon, this is an overly muted barf fest where the brightest color I've ever seen was an almost red enough red to register as red.

I like the concept behind China, IL in that college is more or less a grown-up version of high school, and the Flash animation at least looks real fluid courtesy of Titmouse. But yeah, it's a pretty unremarkable show with a lot of tired shock value, though not the worst adult show I've seen.

And you're absolutely right about Problem Solverz's visuals. The animation is so stiff and the background colors are so bright and distracting that they can actually hurt one's eyesight -- just ask Mr. Enter. Every other cartoon, no matter how ugly or poorly animated, at least knows not to make that mistake.

I like the animation, just not the artwork. Rick and Morty manages to give that rough, doodle-y look while looking professional. The animation makes the visuals of China, Il palatable, but the muted colors and poor artist's notebook marginal doodles look put it all to waste. And total agreement. it's not a bad show, it's just not good. It seems to want to be both FX style sitcom and adult swim adult animation and fails at both. I've tried watching on two separate occasions and none of it was funny. Like they're subtle places where it should be broad and broad where it should be subtle. Unremarkable is right. Not even remarkably bad, like certain other shows.

I'd like to point out that Quackers has much more fluid animation than PS. Doesn't help with the look, but it's an improvement there. I'd say the ugly visuals weren't so much a mistake. Mistakes are usually by accident. I'd say the ugliness of that show was totally on purpose. And had it been the [as] show it was meant to be, it would have worked in the "let's troll everyone with something purposely awful because it will get a cult following for being bad on purpose" kinda way. But as the older kids line up CN was trying to establish at the time, it just didn't work. The look was just bad and the audience wasn't there. I tried watching some of it, but the artwork was awful and I couldn't continue. And I usually give things a full episode. meanwhile, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome owned its ugliness. Unfortunately, no one cared for either. I'm glad UG toned the look down, though. The characters look much more...well, I don't want to say cute (though Pizza Steve is adorable), but more approachable overall.

I really need to give PS another go, maybe with the screen turned off, so I can give a real critical reaction to it. So far, I still think the worst CN original show is My Gym Partner's a Monkey. Not that the series in question isn't ugly in its own right. The look is just so generically 00's era blocky. Aside from that, I found the jokes painfully obvious in every episode I've seen. I LOVE Tom Kenny and love that he's in every single American voice show in the last 2 decades, but the show is so bad, you get the feeling he's overused and obvious in the monkey role.

Overexposure and the frenzied fuss is what killed SpongeBob for me... I mean, even BEFORE the movie came out, all the kids in school were so SpongeBob made and they were all "You SO HAVE to LOVE SpongeBob!", "SpongeBob is the BEST show of ALL TIME!", "You HAVE to be a SpongeBob fan to be accepted by society!" that they made it IMPOSSIBLE to even like SpongeBob... not to mention the annoyance of that laugh of his, and when the two main characters of the show are complete idiots... yeah, that makes for good times right there.

SpongeBob, to me, become very over-rated, very quickly, and I even began to cringe at those commercials about how SpongeBob made people's lives better (ala that family checking into a hotel with SpongeBob luggage, and all of the bellhops literally fighting each other to be the ones to carry them to the room, or the school teacher who said his SpongeBob lunchbox made his wife's cooking taste better, etc).
My exact thoughts here. Where can I see said ads so I can cringe along with you?
Since SpongeBob's my least favorite show of all time, my second least favorite show is so horrendous that I don't watch Sofia the First on Disney Junior due to this. It's Nina Needs To Go!, about this stupid 4-year-old girl named Nina who always has to pee no matter where she is. It's so annoying that it makes Caillou look like Little Bear! Just look it up on YouTube. It's much worse than most of the cartoons listed here...

You're hatred of Nina Needs to Dump a Load is quite well known throughout the internet, and I can't say I blame you. A) I feel the same way about that skateboarding abomination and B) I saw one once and it was stupid. Not NFL Rush Zone stupid... I mean that's divinely stupid... a bad Power Rangers knockoff but with football? Everything about that show screams idiotic, but at least in a fun way if you're in a good mood. Nina is "What the *&^% is this?!?" stupid. It doesn't teach any good potty training/holding it technique lessons, it's just...dumb. Not the absolute worst thing I've seen, but it's pretty freaking bad right there. It could have even been ironically funny (like NFL Rushzone is), but even then, there are funnier ironic potty videos out there. This isn't even good on that level.
