I absolutely loved this insert, where Awadagin Pratt guest stars and plays really beautiful music. This was during the "Around the Corner" era. As a matter of fact, it takes place in a variety store that was part of "Around the Corner". It was called "Finders Keepers".

Here's what happened. It starts with Big Bird and Ruthie inside the Finders Keepers store. Ruthie was a human character during the ATC era who owned the Finders Keepers store. Big Bird is playing the piano inside the store. It's not too great, but he's only six years old though. While Big Bird is playing, Awadagin Pratt comes walking into Finders Keepers. He and Ruthie introduce each other, then she introduces Awadagin to Big Bird. Awadagin says that Big Bird has an interesting technique to his piano playing. Awadagin and Ruthie applaud Big Bird when he finishes, and Big Bird thanks them. Awadagin then reveals that he likes to play the piano, too, and Big Bird asks if he would like to play. Big Bird adds that it's important to take turns. Awadagin starts to play a beautiful tune on the piano. Elmo, Rosita, Bert, Ernie, Mr. Handford, Carlo, Zoe, Celina, Telly, Baby Bear, Bob, The Count, Maria, Susan, Luis, Gina, and a bunch of kids, are able to hear Awadagin's beautiful piano playing from where they are on Sesame Street, so they all pile into Finders Keepers to see and hear Awadagin play. Oscar the Grouch can also hear Awadagin's piano playing, but he refuses to go in given his nature. When Awadagin finishes playing, everyone erupts into applause, and Awadagin in turn acknowledges the applause. When the applause finishes, Awadagin tells Big Bird that it's his turn again, but Big Bird says that he wants to hear Awadagin play again. Awadagin says that he thought they were taking turns, but Big Bird says that he wants Awadagin to take his turn. Awadagin tells Big Bird that it's very kind of him and everyone else applauds in agreement. Then, Awadagin plays another beautiful tune on the piano, and sadly the insert comes to an end when he's in the middle of that tune.

I loved this scene so much, it was so inspiring. I found it quite interesting that Gordon was not present. Even his on-screen wife, Susan was present. Him and Linda were the only 2 human adults from that season who weren't there. Gabi, Miles, Lexine, and Tarah all weren't present either. It was nice that Bert and Ernie were present considering the fact that they rarely appeared on the street during the "ATC" era. It would of been nice if Cookie Monster and Grover were present as well. And Prairie Dawn, too.

Do any of you remember this scene?
