In case you've ever wondered: Real nuts are the kind that grow on trees like chestnuts, acorns, almonds, walnuts, Brazil nuts, cashews, and even coconuts (whose tree is a relative of palm trees) etc., while peanuts are grown and planted in the ground instead of on trees, and they're closely related to beans, peas (including the black-eyed variety), soybeans, etc. which means that peanuts are actually vegetables.
