The greatest thing since fleece!

I went to see it this past Saturday with my wife and it rocked! The show is incredible, moving, funny...so funny! I laughed so hard I was tearing a few times. The adult content is high, at least, higher then I expected. While I had no problem with it, I will admit it's not for everyone (no one under 17 show be going without an open minded parent - unless they're New Yorkers. Then 15 is OK I guess. :stick_out_tongue: )

Stephanie D'Abruzzo is unbelieveably good. You have to see and most especially hear her.

Two foam thumbs waaay up!

little shop

also if you look on www.littleshopofhorrors.com, you will see discounted tickets for the preview shows. Marty Robinson is again doing Audrey 2 and the Jim Henson Co. is also co-producing. I am going at the end of August so I will let you all know how it is!

It's pretty cool they have an 'edgy' puppet show on broadway...even more cooler that seasoned JHC related folks are actually working with or in the show.

I'll admit, I was no fan of Greg the bunny or Crank Yankers. But
from the few clips I saw this is definately, well more than just sophmoric humor. It's also cool hearing about the little shop revival production.
Still sadly far from the whispered JHC dream of a live Muppet show on broadway someday, but still pretty cool.

It looks and sounds great. The puppets look great too, soo much character. I never even realised they had musical productions with puppets. Another great reason to live in the US! I wish I did!

Yeah, I love that it's sophisticated adult humor, dealing with adult issues, but not in a very grotesque manner.

Not sure about 'sophisticated' but I think it's definately supposed to be intelligent. And it is from what I've seen.

Well, it's much more sophisticated than Crank Yankers, which is a decent show at times, but very much teenage humor (I'm such a hypocrit, being a teen and all, lol). I agree that the Internet is For Porn song is a little over the edge, but the material in the song is good, so it's cool.

In other "Avenue Q" news, this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly included AQ as #10 on it's "Must" list. Of course that doesn't actually mean anything, but there is a nice picture of Stephanie D'Abruzzo with one of her characters.
