I'm with Beauregard 100%.

I didn't like this at all. Not only were the voices distracting but the pacing was way off and nothing seemed right. It wasn't natural at all. They were trying way too hard and the writing was just awful. Unfunny, out of character and totally miscast. If this is what the studio is aiming for, viagra jokes and contemporary pop culture lampooning, they need to rethink their direction with the franchise cause this is not the essence of the Muppets...

weak effort.

I've been trying to find someplace to e-mail Movies.com about it, tell them a few points I've got on it, how I'd like it to be better. That kind'a thing. Anyone know an e-mail address?

Well I just hope they don't get any 'content' complaints...we see few enough Muppet stuff as it is, it's not their fault America is still in ultra puritanical mood. Besides, this was done under the supervision *of* Disney, which is currently sterilizing the Muppets as we speak. Let us people with an edgier sense of humor have a bone or two.

Again, to those who say the Muppets are squeaky clean...lest I remind you the first Muppet Show was called "Sex and Violence", and I cannot even begin to retype some of the themes and show content of the old Land of Gorch skits. Even Jim Henson Hour had some unbelievably racy stuff.

And yeah, the Pepe being an over libido'd horn dog (I mean prawn!) has been overdone...but it's funny!

Land of Gorch was quite a different matter to the Muppets.

But, let's not argue over the issue. Ok?

Folks are complaining about this. That's odd. We're getting new stuff! Weren't we all just complaining that there wasn't anything new out there yet? Catch-22 for The Muppets.

I think we need to give the transition some time, let the new folks get into their places, work with one another and get that chemistry going good, and then begin to be more critical.

Gosh, I never thought I would defend something Disney had part in...never would have thought it. Then again, Disney never owned the Muppets either.

I knew a new Statler/Waldorf segment a week would be too much for the Diz to handle...(tho it was weird they mentioned reviewing Sahara, which comes out this week)
