my two cents worth

I am a parent and I can see why some shirts can be offencive while others are not. To me this is wrong to sell What I will Call Sesame Street Knock offs and then blaming the real deal.

I am an artist and I enjoy seeing stuff like this and many more like it, Because I have a great sence of hummor. But there are those who do not care for what every one thinks but what they think.

You have to admit that there is a point where it just isnt funny anymore. I would hope as a parent that you would not want your children wearing this type of clothing no matter what characters were on the shirt.

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look, I see
Young girls dying to be on TV
They won't stop till they've reached their dreams

Diet pills, surgery
Photoshopped pictures in magazines
Telling them how they should be
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

I guess things are not how they used to be
There's no more normal families
Parents act like enemies
Making kids feel like it's World War III

No one cares, no one's there
I guess we're all just too **** busy
And money's our first priority
It doesn't make sense to me

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Is everybody going crazy?

Tell me what's wrong with society
When everywhere I look I see
Rich guys driving big SUVs
While kids are starving in the streets

No one cares
No one likes to share
I guess life's unfair

Is everybody going crazy?
Is anybody gonna save me?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something, something is wrong

Is everybody going crazy?
Can anybody tell me what's going on?
Tell me what's going on?
If you open your eyes
You'll see that something is wrong

I've seen the shirts. They don't offend me or anything but it takes a lot to offend me. However I can see why people wouldn't want their kids wearing them.

The sad thing? That's one of 3 pieces of merchandise that has Kermit with the Sesame Street characters on it (including the Best of Kermit VHS and the Caribbean Amphibian siging plush). Also it's that last new thing with Kermit on Sesame we'll ever see. Of course, I mean that as a sad statement, because this T-shirt is unofficial and barely Legal at that (they didn't change enough of the characters for me to satve off a law suit.)

"Fair use" is pretty broad these days. And parodies are almost completely protected from copyright infringement.
