For my class project I am building a "Grinch" type character. Any suggestions for the fur? Want it as close as possible to the movie.
Thanks!

Make sure the white fur and fleece you are going to dye will take the dye. Synthetic fibers don't dye well and most commonly available furs and fleeces are synthetic.

Aljo should work fine. For years I stayed away from dying fur, but Aljo works great.

Actually this is for a person not a puppet--I figured you guys were the most knowledgeable ones around about furs and hair. Have you guys ever made anything with real hair? Yak hair or other?
