Actually, that sounds like a good idea, Warrick. It's been a while since I've seen that show. It would be nice to see a transcript of it.

MFC is my absolute favorite Muppet special. Nothing can top that one. One of my dearest memories is watching it with my (older) cousins, and one of them crying with laughter when she saw the penguins. She couldn't stop crying for quite a while!

Anyway my favorite quotes:

Rowlf: "Whoa ho! Boy is this piano outta tune! ... I love outta tune pianos."

Doc: "We hadn't met any of you a while ago, and now we're friends!"

Gonzo to Turkey: "Cranberry breath!"

At the very end of MFC, my favorite quote, hands down:

"...I like it when they have a good time."

The Doc/Bert/Ernie conversation is one of my favorites, but I can't remember the entire thing, unfortunately...

Yeah. That's great.

"Where we come from this is small talk."

Bert to Doc: 'Where we come from, that's considered small talk'

Janice: ack...ok I forget exactly what she said, but it was in reference to Cookie Monster scarfing down a plate of cookies.

So cool to see a thread about MFC...Im planning on watching the dvd soon with my family. I truly think its one of the greatest things the Muppets have ever done.

Sam: "Is nothing sacred? Augh!"

Doc: "Sprocket, go get my hammer!"

Emily: "...I'd like to welcome you all here---uh---you are all here, aren't you?"

And this exchange has been mentioned, like, 5 or 6 times already, but here it is verbatim:

Janice: "HEY everybody! Look what I've got---Christmas cookieees!"

Cookie Monster: "COOKIEEES!! AUMMMM-OHMM-OHM-OHM-OHM-OHMMM! AUMMM-OHMM-OHM-OHM---oh, thank you!"

Janice: "Who was that strange blue creatuuurre?"

Animal: "That my kinda fella! Ha-aa-aa-aa-aah!"

This one I thought was pretty priceless:

Kermit, Doc, Sprockett and The Count are looking outside at the raging blizzard

DOC: Boy that storm sure is getting worse!

KERMIT: Yeah, I hope Miss Piggy will be OK

DOC: (to the Count) That is one worried frog, I tell you.

COUNT: Aha! That's One...One worried frog!

(Robin enters)

ROBIN: And he's not the only one!

COUNT: That's two...two worried frogs! Aha-ha-ha-ha! (thunder and lightning outside)

Doc and Sprockett look at each other in bewilderment and Doc says "Hmm...must be more of that "small talk" I think.

I have a favorite SCENE.....It's the one when the Swedish Chef has been TRYING SO HARD to cook Big Bird for dinner, and Big Bird comes up and talks about how he found out thev Chef was from Sweden and that's really far away and that meant the Chef was really far away from his family for Christmas, and so Big Bird gave him a card or present or something. It was GREAT, mixing TMS humor and SS sweetness! Besides, when else do you get to see the Sweish Chef be so TOUCHED, and more than just a wacky character?
