cookie monster recipe from the sesame street treasury collection volume 1. It's 26 years old.
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
pour sugar over butter, with fork squash butter and sugar together.
2 eggs (pour eggs over mixture)
1 tsp vanilla (blend everything together with fork)
2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt ( mix everything together, chill in ice box for at least 1 hr)
I always put it in the oven at 350 for about 10 min.
I always roll dough out and cut in fun shapes :insatiable:

For such a basic recipe, it really is a classic. My mother had taken it out of my book when i was a kid (with my permission of course) and always used it for years and years whenever she made homemade cookies! Lots of great memories around that recipe and the page it was printed on!
