Went to the exhibit today, your not supposed to take photos but I snapped a few with my iphone. It was super cool seeing King Goshposh and Featherstone, that was something I didnt expect.

Enjoy!

Indeed this is an experience. It's the first time I saw "TimePiece" the entire way through... and sure, a lot of the drawings and doodles we saw in that book... but there's NOTHING like seeing them hanging in a gallery like the artwork they should be treated as. seeing the Muppets themselves was icing, and I really didn't expect to see anything like that... probably one or so. But this thing has quite a bit of great stuff. They even have a storyboard of "King of 8" with two alternate endings that were scripted (one was an announcement that one of the 8 princesses married a prince, and is moving away leaving 7).

If you're in the area and can make it up (someone took me as a surprise) you need to make the pilgrimage.

Heather Henson will be at the museum on May 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM for a presentation entitled "A Daughter Remembers."
On May 22, 2010 at 2:00 PM Karen Falk will present "Sell, Sell, Sell! Highlights from Jim Henson's Commercials." In addition, there's a Falk-run gallery tour listed for "Sunday May 22" at noon.

To add to that date confusion, the main page says the Karen Falk film presentation says the 22nd is a Thursday. I'm probably calling them later about something and will let you know when stuff actually is.

Normally, I'd just edit my original post this close to its origin. However I'm a n00b whose shift starts in 2 minutes and has a memory like a steel tarp.
Monh.org says to pre-register for the Falk guided tour. Their instructions for doing so involve calling 781 861 6559 extension 4101. When I did, the person who answered informed me I meant to call 4131.
Also if anyone is planning on going, there will be a meetup.com organized group hitting the place first weekend of June. Someone who already went and knows the organizer of the excursion feels the person-to space-ratio could present a problem.
