and I'm glad YOU found this thread

things with a - means that I obsess over them more than the thing they are apart of that I obsess...if that makes sense

My Obsessions:

Sonic the Hedgehog (genesis era, but recently I have gravitated towards newer games)

Werewolves (mmm...Sonic Unleashed...two obsessions brought together...)

Dragons (ah...good memories playing Spyro 1,2, and 3)

Retro Video games (WOOOO! ATARI! DOLPHIN!)

The Simpsons (not so much on anything newer than season 15ish)
-Bart Simpson (hehe :halo:)

The Muppets (of course)
-Floyd (who didnt see this coming?)

70s and 80s Metal
-Bon Jovi
-Ozzy Oabourne

Scooby Doo (used to have a HUGE collection of stuffed animals...now I'm down to about 4)

Movies
-Wayne's World (the second one was awful though)
-Airheads ( I've watched the movie so many times I need a break from it right now)
-The Nightmare Before Christmas (although obsession is starting to fade)

Music Related T-Shirts
-My Aerosmith shirt (my only "nice" shirt)

VH1 Classic
-Metal Mainia
-Pop Up Video
-the various documentaries

Entertainment Stores
-Best Buy
-Sam Ash
-f.y.e

Guitar Hero!
Hmmm...times sure change don't they? Seeing as this popped up in my alerts, I think I will fix a few things. So I striked out everything that does not apply anymore and want to add

Punk Rock in general(in place of metal)
Bowling for Soup
Bad Religion
The Offspring
Foo Fighters

Dan Vs
Fact or Faked

Okami
Brutal Legend
Tekken

Although I do still think Dolphin is the most amazing retro video game ever sooooooo....

I've too many passions to list, and things I love.

General stuff I dig would be vinyl toys/robots, thrift store shopping, designing outfits, etsy, zines, animation(particularly mid 90's kids shows, 80's and oddball stuff...I LOVE Rocko's Modern Life, which is a huge inspiration for me as well as Invader Zim and late 80's cartoons. Oh and anything with Pee Wee Herman. One day I want a house like out of Pee Wee's Big Adventure) Retro gaming for sure...not too big into 3d games. I like independent developed games as well, but anything with 80's arcade or SNES/Genesis/Game Boy Advance graphics I dig. Um, I have a soft spot for fast food/advertising mascot stuff.

Most people who know me probably know my main obsession is music, particularly discovering zillions of new eclectic indie bands every week. I LOVE going to shows and going out dancing now and then, tho random road trips and shenanigans are the best. Also big into film, with an emphasis on indie/foreign/documentary/non Japanese animation. Though I love some anime(like Miyazaki) Also I have a pretty expansive dorky/stripey/cartoon sock collection. I think I like Gonzo so much, as well as Kramer from Seinfeld as I just dig that whole dress style. I used to be a lot more into Japanese pop culture and kitch. I still have a thing for 1920's-1950's stylings, films and aesthetics.

TV wise, Im religiously obsessed(ok maybe not religiously) with Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and anything from that realm. I also love Woody Allen films...I joke Im part new york Jewish by now. Im a HUGE fan of Big Bang Theory and the Office as well.

I used to read a ton, both historical/biography/philosophy/speculative and fiction. Sadly kind of fell out of that. I think I mentioned I like to be crafty. LOVE photography, creative writing, working on animation and music every day. A lot of random moments of small beauty can be captured with photography, stuff a lot of people never notice. I think even if someone can just doodle on a card, that's art...and the real personal kind.
