I've been making my puppet bodies out of reticulated foam but am looking for something a bit more rigid and sturdy to hold the shape better. I've heard EVA foam and L200 foam mentioned for making bodies. Can anyone reccomend a good place to purchase it, or any other reccomendations for body foam? Thanks!

I was shown the method of boning (from a Muppet Alumni) to keep your puppet's body rigid. Boning is simply using stronger material inside the puppet to keep it from collapsing. I use to use coat hanger wire (shaped in a circle) wrapped in foam and then hot glued in the body. Terry Angus recently talked about using seamstress dress boning and having it basically coil inside the body. I tried this and recommend this method as it is less time consuming and works like a charm. You can get the boning at your local fabric store.

Thanks CreatureWork, that sounds like a good method, I'll give it a shot!
