    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

Yes I do. You were not dicussing other religions in your post. The only religion that I have heard about this being offensive to is Christianity. Also, The new testament does give "God the father" male characteristics. Some claim that the Holy Spirit has female characteristics though...

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

On the DVD in America, it says it is G in Canada.

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

I'm not sure this is a topic we want to get into. All this will cause is bitterness on both sides and some unfriendly argument. I am a christian and I was not offended, even though God is always referenced as a man. In the end, I realize this film was not religious in nature so I don't think...

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

Normaly I would give this Idea little clout but this might be the "mild thematic elements" (notice no mention of "racy humor", which is what the gay jokes would have been). My therory is that the more somber, sad tone was the reason for the rating (Kermit wishing he was never born). That would...

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

oops. I ment the DVD's picture is better than the TV picture. Sorry. I think Thematic Elements might mean the semi-depressing Kermit story until the end (for instance: pick-pocket fozzie and sad, poor gonzo). I would think that it was PG for the more "edgy" humor except it doen't mention...

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

I wasn't saying the rating was bad, I was just wondering what "mild thematic elements" meant. In addition, most people who would think a higher rating would be good wouldn't notice because they wouldn't pick up the DVD. I also don't think a PG would persuade them that it was any better. (I...

    "Bloody" in Treasure Island!

How did they remove bloody from MTI? That might be humorous too watch. It would be like an episode of Jerry Springer. "Where's the -beep- map?" To remove the sceans or lin es that say bloody would take away the whole movie when Billy Bones is in the film.

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

Some more observations: The movie should be in widescreen. All the deleated sceens are in widescreen. In the Inside Pepe's Studio making of feture (very funny by the way), all the clips are in widescreeen. Unless the director wants it in "Standard" or "Full-Screen", these should be...

    Very Merry Muppet DVD Observations

I just got the DVD and the first thing I noticed was the muppets were rated PG ! for mild thematic elements  Being one who hates Sams new voice, I have too say it is okay in the deleted Moulin Scrooge scene :attitude: . You get more Buff Beaker I have not seen all of the features...

Your Thoughts: Kermit and the Muppets on Jimmy Kimmel Live

I would hope that you see a difference in ehat you made Mickey say and "So you get to do Ben?" While that is not the cleanest thing he has ever said,He didn't use any profanity that I remember and was still one of the cleanest guests of the week. I would prefer that the obvious sexual diolauge...

Who performed Sam in Treasure Island?

For the record, I was only basing my last post on what others had said. I seem to remember one person saying that the new voice of Fozzie was different but the change from Jim to Steve's Kermit was more wierd. This was probably a reference to TMCJH, but I don't know how much he improved from...

    Muppet Crossovers

Although I can not tell you for sure (I don't remember the show because I was too young), wasn't clifford seen in TJHH in the Muppets segments? Why does that not make him a normal muppets. To call him a cross-over is like calling a near weakly segment of TJHH a cross-over. TJHH was a...

Why did the Muppet Show end?

Are you just trying to rub it in that we Americans don't have a network that shows The Muppet Show? For that matter, I would even settle for Disney showing reruns of Muppets Tonight (even though my dorm has no cable at the moment, at least it would be on).

Your Thoughts: Kermit and the Muppets on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Who is doing animal tonight? I realize that it's not Frank, but the voice is so off. It sounds like me doing animal (the only muppet Frank Oz voice I can do is grover). I must say, on my TV The comic who was in Iraq is talking. I wish the earlier late night shows would have kermit for a week. If...

Who performed Sam in Treasure Island?

I agree wiith that. I would immagine that someone could do the voice better though. Because of my age, I am used to other "new" voices, for instance, I am used to both Steve and Jim as Kermit. In fact, at one point I liked Steve's Kermit Better than Jim's (but not anymore). I only hope that...

Who performed Sam in Treasure Island?

Kevin Clash was busy filming Sesame Street (I guess he plays some unimportant red furball on that show) and could not preform any muppets in the movie. He did dub the voice for Sam because he loved performng him in MTI, even though I think it is one of the worst replacements in terms of voice.

Songs you'd like to see on the next Muppet Compilation CD

This post... IT'S ALIVE!!!!! I would not include most of these songs because most people want to have muppet show muppet songs if they buy a muppet compelation CD. This CD would e etter as a "best of Jim Henson CD". If that was the case I would add some fraggel rock songs. The only...

    holding up my arm

The director of my first scene was a student director and wanted me to do things that were physically impossible with the puppet I had and also seemed to belive that a puppet is a prop that would look OK if it just popped up. The only reason I even was alowed to have a good enterance was...
