They're actually each both hour long (or around 42 minutes without commercials). I wanted to see how they worked the schedule from someone who went. Thanks.
The way described it is the other pilots are shown first. I was just wondering if they let people in during the middle of the presentation. If the Muppets were first, that would make it easy, but it doesn't sound like that's the case.
You think Jerry Nelson will be a part of it? I figured they would be getting someone else, like Bill Barretta, to take over for Jerry. I definitely hope Jerry will be involved but I have my doubts.
I'm not saying it's a bad thing or anything like that...I'm just saying it's fact. Most of his characters have that particular high voice he uses.
You're right that he probably wants to go with what feels the most comfortable for him while doing improv. ;)
Yeah, I don't think that's true. He hasn't been affiliated with Henson for that long. Here's his IMDB profile: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0749406/
As you can see, he hasn't done any puppeteering until recently.
Paul Rugg did the voices AND wrote those Spielberg cartoons. I believe he was one of the writers of "Late Night Buffet" too. I heard he wanted to be a part of the improv group, so he learned how to be a puppeteer. Pretty cool stuff. ;)
I think the show was very good and has a lot of potential. I believe it is going to be a 30 minute show, so you have to remember that the not so funny parts will be cut out. I think Henson has a potential hit on their hands! :)
The article is also off-base when it says that there's a strict policy that "each Muppet character can only be performed by his or her specific puppeteer." Many of the characters have been rotated around and done by different puppeteers. Also, many times a character is perfromed by a different...
Bill was the co-producer of their last TV movie too...he's become pretty much the head puppeteer. I wonder if he's being considered to directa Muppet movie at some point?
