    TMS Outline--Peter, Paul & Mary

If you're gonna have Peter, Paul and Mary on the show, may I suggest they do one of their best, "Day Is Done"? That's beautiful and inspirational, and I can imagine it turning into a massive sing-along along the lines of "Turn The World Around." I'd also thought that Scooter could easily do...

    The Saga Of Bumble Artie

The funny thing is...if memory serves me correctly, I could SWEAR that Maurice Sendak did the art for that one.

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

The one I really wanna see is the cinematic poem that shows raindrops on flower petals to the tune of Vivaldi's Lute Concerto. At the end, the camera pulls away to reveal the flower is growing on a rooftop in a city. If they had used words, the message of looking for beauty in overlooked places...

    TMS outline- Christopher Lee!

I do believe you've left a song out. This is a reprint of a post I made long ago (do a search under my name and you'll find the old thread). Kermit: Ladies and gentlemen, you may know that our guest star tonight has made a name for himself as Count Dracula. You may not have known, though...

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

At least one that scared me as a kid is on there...Willie Wimple, that prince of pollution, that duke of deforestation, that viscount of...of...help me out here. Want to know pathetic? When I saw that clip there...I...I could not bring myself to click on it. Is that pathetic or what? ITA...

Whom to send "Muppet Wish List" to?

Maybe you guys can help me. I'd love to know an e-mail of whoever at Disney handles the Muppets, or CD/DVD releases in general. The official Disney website makes me feel like a mouse in a maze, trying to find such info. I'd like to e-mail them my Muppet Wish List, which would include...

When will we Muppet fans say somthing?

He voiced Fungus...the not-so-bad sidekick of Randall Boggs. Listen closely and you're sure to pick up on it. Especially his line at the end, "Oh, this is great!" while putting on a funny set of glasses to go collect some kid laughter.

When will we Muppet fans say somthing?

Do you guys think that with John Lasseter in charge of a lot of things at Disney, things might improve for the Muppets? I see in John a lot of the creativity and wonkiness that characterized Jim. In fact, there was something very Henson-ish about Monsters, Inc...maybe it was no coincidence that...

Sesame Street Reference on South Park

Also, the bumper spots they've made to promote the new season's episodes seem to be taking off those live-action SS skits where the orange ball went through the wire "rollercoaster" deal with the flags. If memory serves me correctly, one of these ended with the ball being ground up into powder...

    Anyone remember this 'Rhyming' classic?

What MAKES that clip is the blue, green, and purple guy's look of annoyance during the last rant, as they push together to try and keep Mahna Mahna from bursting onto the screen again...

Rare animated films (not shown on Noggin)

I've grown to call that one "A Midsummer Night's Alphabet", because the music and the general fairy/moonlight theme reminds me of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. It's one of my favorites!

    In Search of Ike..Eek..Oaklahoma

If memory serves me correctly, wasn't it Forgetful Jones, who was in a movie version of Oklahoma being directed by Kermit?

It's Official: Disney completes Muppet acquisition

Remember, the last time the Muppets collaborated with Disney we got something as good as "MuppetVision 3-D". Here's hoping we still will. Even though I don't always agree with the decisions the present-day Disney company has made (and I hope Eisner doesn't let the door hit him in the rear end...

    Favorite Real-life Films

The Vivaldi flower segment My hands-down favorite was always the one with the close-ups of the droplets of water trickling over the stems and petal of a flower (sunflower? marigold?). The music always haunted me; I was pleased to discover, years later, that it was a classical piece, the Largo...

    A new "Muppet Show"

A lone voice in the wilderness... I like Disney...I always have...please don't drum me off the board... I hope that Disney will put its merchandising muscle behind the Muppets, maybe re-release the movie soundtracks on CD, release the early specials like "Frog Prince", a more extensive...

Alphabet Cartoon on Sesame Street: Who's the artist?

My own title for it... I actually like to call this "A Midsummer Night's Alphabet", because the madrigal music and the fairies and otherworldly characters remind me of "A Midsummer Night's Dream."

    Muppet Show Song Ideas?

"Right Field" I mentioned this in another thread long ago, but there's a Peter, Paul and Mary song called "Right Field". It can be found on the "Peter, Paul, and Mommy Too" album, and either Peter or Paul does the lead vocals. I can imagine Scooter doing this one, with the action of the song...

    Q,R, Cookie Monster...

Another with the same girl... The same girl and Kermit also did a counting sketch. It was priceless as she counted, "Ten...eleven..." then abruptly said to Kermit, "You got pretty eyes!" The look on Kermit's face was incredible. "So do you...but what comes after eleven?"

    TMS Outline Idea

Actually... ...I was thinking that Harry himself (and maybe Ron and Hermione) might make good guests on TMS. There could be songs such as "Abracadabra" or Sinatra's "It's Witchcraft," or maybe Piggy could sing "I'm Just Wild About Harry."

    The most tear-jerking Muppet moment...

"Say goodnight, Gonzo." This isn't so much tearjerking as poignant in an understated sort of manner, but it's been on my mind since I mentioned it in another post of mine. It's in the George Burns episode and I'm willing to bet it went over a lot of kids' heads, but many adults probably smiled...
