Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

Yeah, the season premieres would make sense. I would like to see the other 4, especially since one of them has Hal Miller's first appearance as Gordon.

Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

I hope the five episodes that will be on the set are good. I was going to try to list the ones I would pick, but there's too many good ones to pick just five.

Old School Sesame coming to DVD October 2006

Good, so that question has been answered. However, Amazon says the set is 300 minutes long. Looks like we may have another mystery to solve.

    Anyone visit Sesame Street?

I once visited the set. My dad has a friend (who will remain namless for privacy reasons) who wrote some songs for Sesame Street and she got my family in to see a taping. It was really cool. I had my picture taken in Oscar's trash can.

    I-Beam, Making Saxophones, etc.

Hey guys, wanna know something cool? The guy who made the film that shows the making of saxophones is a personal friend of my father's! I have it on tape. It's a great film and an honor to know the person behind it.

    Books featured on Sesame Street

I remember seeing an episode of "Unpaved" back when it was on Noggin in which Susan read a book called "I Have a Tree". I don't remember the episode number, but it was during the era when Matt Robinson played Gordon (1969-1971).

Noggin to introduce "Noggin Classic" channel

I'm the friend who told SSetta about this new channel. It may be just a rumor, but as they say, "Don't shoot the messenger".

Special: A Walking Tour of Sesame Street (1978)

I just know that James Earl Jones is the host of this special. Boober_Gorg has it on tape. Maybe he'll make you a copy.

Big Bird and Cuban Singer Lady

Celia Cruz also appeared in "Put Down the Duckie" among the other celebrities who appeared in that segment. I didn't find out her name until recently. She's a great singer.

    Maria gets a broken nose

There was an episode where Maria went to the hospital. Noah Wyle appeared as a doctor who calmed Gabi down when she was frightened about what might happen to her mother.

    Grover and Kermit The Frog

I recently recieved the clip where Grover is Kermit's plumber and he's supposed to fix the dripping faucet. Instead of fixing it, Grover just makes it worse. That was a good one.

What Unpaved episode is going to be playing this Sunday night?

That's probably because it wasn't through Muppet Central. We did it through private e-mail and IMs.

    Listen film

I remember this film. Haven't seen it since I was little. I should try to get it on tape from someone. I'd love to see it again.

    Simon The Soundman: Call (1984)

I remember two other Simon Soundman skits. One was where he was in a china shop and Old MacDonald came in, looking for one of his animals who came to buy a teapot. Simon made all the different farm animal sounds to try to help Old MacDonald find his animal, which attracted all the different...

What Unpaved episode is going to be playing this Sunday night?

Ditto. I also thought this was a new post. I myself miss Unpaved, but I have some Unpaved episodes on tape and even some classic episodes from PBS (courtesy of SSetta, Boober_Gorg and Mark the Shark). I hope the new channel that's coming will be as good as Noggin was back in the day.

    Adventures of Prairie Dawn

I remember those skits. The announcer kept saying that Prairie was going to have an adventure, but Prairie insisted that the things she'd be doing weren't adventrues. They were things like trying a kumquat and turning the TV off after she was done watching it. Hope this is helpful.

    Bert and Ernie's Greatest Moments

I like the one where Ernie was trying to make a shopping list but couldn't find a pen or pencil, so he ended up using a paint brush and chocolate pudding. Another of my favorites was where Ernie put the volume control from the radio and put it on Bert. Those were funny skits.
