Project Puppet Patterns with full head

I have ordered Antron fleece in but have only used it once so far. I go to spotlight and use high quality polar fleece. Works great and hides the seams well in my opinion. My Kermit and Ernie were both made from that fleece.

    Henson Creature-Ninja Turtle project

Wow that's really nice. The original movie costumes were just incredible and I think you've really captured the look beautifully. Are you planning to do the full costume? Are there any mechanisms for moving eyes, eye lids and mouth in that head?

    Help with Elmo

Hi, if you use the search function of the forum and type in Elmo you will see lots of topics. Project puppet's mostro pattern makes a reasonable Elmo. I used that one and it worked well and was relatively easy. I used that pattern for my elmo and I know others have also. Some people just make...

My FIRST ever attempt at making a puppet...

Wow absolutely incredible, your first puppet is certainly better than my first attempt. I'd be proud of that. You must be pretty happy with the results.

found it http://teddybearsupplies.flyingcart.com/index.php?p=products&req=dept&id=156 They have heaps of different types of eyes and other interesting bits and pieces. A real treasure of a website. They originally sold on Ebay, but seem to only offer from their online store now. Really lovely...

New Puppet - Baby puppet (doesn't have a name yet)

Hi Rymoore21, that's such a simple idea, I'm almost embarrassed I didn't think of it myself. Thank you so much that's a real help and I appreciate it. In terms of the eyes, I found a site online that sells character eyes of all shapes and sizes. They were expensive once I added in shipping but...

New Puppet - Baby puppet (doesn't have a name yet)

Thanks for the lovely comments. I was really happy with how he turned out. Given he was just a basic project puppet pattern and not anything too customized. I'd love any advice for how to do a nappy for him, given the entrance is the bottom like a normal puppet, I'm still unsure how to do the...

Project Puppet Patterns with full head

Totally understand. I'm in Australia and have the same dilemma for cost. Best advice I can give you is to save up, they really are well worth it. I have all the project puppet patterns and they are all fantastic. You could also try adding just some chin foam under the mouthplate to beef the head...

Project Puppet Patterns with full head

Hi mate, Only the forma series patterns have the full foam head. Even mostro is only the top skull in foam. Hope that helps. They are all well worth the cost and each one offers different ideas. Greg

    Ernie attempts number one

I decided to complete Ernie as he is, but with a wider body and complete his arms and give him his own shirt. As I had no idea how to re-create the real shirt he wears, I decided to give him an easy to make bed shirt. I'm definitely planning to remove the current hair and cut a larger piece. It...

New Puppet - Baby puppet (doesn't have a name yet)

Hi Everyone, Been busy working on a new puppet for a friend who is writing a skit. I'm making three puppets to begin with, the baby, a nanny (elderly babysitter) and a bear. I had made the bear but wasn't happy with it, it was too large and not cute enough, going to start again with that one...

Video: New Elmo premieres at the 2013 Easter Egg Roll

Given the popularity of the character it would be almost as huge a deal as replacing Kermit as Steve had to. Must have been a scary thing to do in public for the first time. What a great job he did. The voice is different as you would expect and the mannerisms aren't quite as fluid or natural...

    My latest replica

wow love them all, but particularly love the blue furry. Did you make the head pattern from scratch or use an existing pattern? Looks like a perfect shape for him. Greg

Is anything happening with these? I assume not, given no response to Muppetlab's last post.

Guess who? - my new replica

Great work, definitely looks like Elmo to me. Did you make the head pattern yourself, or did you fashion it from an existing pattern? When I made mine, I used the mostro puppet pattern from project puppet, which seemed to have enough of a likeness for my purpose. Love the choice of fur, it's...
