So much for the Muppet special being "successful"

Here's the scoop from USA Today: "It's hard to say, but this much is clear: The CBS movie starring Rob Lowe was the only new holiday program this year to make a mark among TV viewers. Aside from Shoes and a few reliable chestnuts such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman...

Miss Piggy hosting a talk show?

Move over, ALF. Looks like the goofballs up at Henson actually considered making some *good* use of their favorite scapegoat - er, pig puppet: *According to a former King World executive, who also spoke anonymously, the dispatching of King World programmers is not a surprise, considering the...

    Whitmire in today's Parade magazine

The article is at the back of the mag. Consists of the usual stuff. The continuing stoooorryyy of the most boring of the Muppets. Check your local paper if you're in the mood for the usual well-worn hype. ;)

People Magazine review of "Muppet Xmas Movie"

Not a good one. "Let the record show that the official title of this holiday offering is It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie. But I can't call it very good. Most Muppet fare pleases all ages, with warm fuzzies and unadulterated silliness for kids plus some hip humor to keep grownups...
