    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

That's not very nice, Geoffrey. :sympathy: We can agree to disagree about my choice of clips to post on YouTube, there's no reason to get nasty about it. Best Regards, Nanto

The Official "I'm looking for/trying to remember a sketch" thread

Funny that I didn't remember that, considering what a hardcore Electric Company fan I am. Thanks for the correction, SesameGuy. I wouldn't be surprised if they used that segment for the end of a Friday episode, since TEC often seemed to save the big showstoppers for Fridays. Getting back on...

The Official "I'm looking for/trying to remember a sketch" thread

Here's a skit I haven't seen in over 30 years. It's a stop motion film about different foods, with lyrics listing all of the different foods that appear, to the tune of "Pomp & Circumstance". The last line of the song is "fresh, creamery butter and blueberry pie", repeated twice.

    Sesame Street "Car Wash" skit

I finally remembered to upload this segment, enjoy! Sesame Street - Car Wash

    Rick Rolled

Usually those type of parodies are let down by shoddy editing (Muppets NWA being the obvious example that comes to mind). Hats off to whomever made that Muppets RickRoll, the editing to match Beaker's lip movements to the song was really well done.

    Old Viewmaster Reels

Oddly enough Viewmaster isn't some ancient forgotten toy, they are still being made. I saw brand new viewers going for about $5 at Wal-Mart today, and they had reels devoted to newer shows (e.g. Backyardigans, Dora the Explorer) as well as some "classic" titles such as A Charlie Brown Christmas.

"Dee, Dee, Dee" Song clip anyone?

That segment is a great showcase for Frank Oz's comedic acting skills. Cookie Monster is laugh out loud funny in that skit without saying a single word.

More Play With Me Sesame DVD's in March

I saw an episode of Play With Me Sesame on Noggin in 2005 that featured a rare segment from 1970, with Cookie Monster reciting a poem with Howie the rabbit. Does anyone know if this segment is on any of the Play With Me Sesame DVDs?

    The Best of Roosevelt Franklin

I put together a playlist of all the English language RF segments that have been posted to YouTube, here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=34FC8D05567B05AB Even though Roosevelt Franklin was a very popular character, he actually didn't appear in all that many segments. For...

    Neglecting first season segments

The Old School box sets actually don't provide a very good representation of what you might see in an average episode, because the season premieres tend to showcase a lot of new material. I think that generally in any given season, sketches from the more recent seasons tend to be repeated more...

    The Original Telly

I remember watching Telly Monster's first appearance in a street scene. One or two of the human characters (possibly Maria?) came across him watching a television set, and he was unable to turn away from it to fully interact with them, offering the explanation "I'm GLUED". I don't remember him...

    Your Thoughts: Elmo’s Christmas Countdown

Bert's laugh Somehow it didn't seem fair to me when Bert criticized Steve Schirripa for not doing the "Bert laugh" properly. Eric Jacobson's "Bert laugh" doesn't sound right either! ;)

    Sesame Workshop launches video.sesameworkshop.org

Great to finally see "Has Anybody Seen My Dog", I listed to that song on vinyl LP so many times as a kid, but I don't think I ever saw the TV version. Howie the Rabbit and the blue fish from Octopus' Garden even had a cameo! Also, a hint if anyone is looking for clips of Lefty, try searching...

Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo

I don't recall ever seeing Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo perform together on Sesame Street, although they did appear together on Saturday Night Live in 1986, performing the song "Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes" from Simon's album "Graceland".

    Classic Sesame Clips on YouTube

I posted a couple of "newer" sketches (1989 and 1991) Generally I tend to post older clips, from 1969-1978 or so, but here are a few "newer" skits that some of the younger fans may enjoy: Sesame Street Pageant - We Make a Meal (1986, w/ Leo the Party Monster) Sesame Street - The Dentist of...
