Every year around Mother's Day, there's this commission that does all these different kinds of studies and surveys that would determine exactly how much of an annual salary a mother would make if she were paid for all of the things she does on a daily basis (cooking, cleaning, taking care of children, etc); this year, they determined that number to be roughly $60,128.
My question is this... why don't we just go ahead and pay them already? Instead of spending so much time trying to determine how much money they would make, why not just go ahead and give them that money? When you think about it... no... even when you DON'T think about, they pretty much just deserve that money altogether; motherhood is already a thankless job, let them see some kind of payoff, it would certainly help numbers of low-income families.
