Thoughts on this year's lineup.

1 New scremieres include R. L. Stine's Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls and The Final Girls, both 2015 movies. You'll have to stay up late for The Final Girls only airing though.

2 We'll be getting both of Disney's Halloween Towns in the form of the Disney Channel TV film franchise spread out across four nights, and NBC of corpse. It makes me especially happy to skelebrate NBC's 23rd anniversary by watching it fright and early at 7 AM, followed by The Corpse Bride.

3 In terms of multiple airings, Hocus Pocus has the most airings with a total of 10, followed by the Addams Family double billing with 7, Scooby-Doo and Sleepy Hollow have 5, and NBC has at least 3 which I plan to watch. :batty: :fanatic:

4 As I mentioned before, the Hunger Games are being shoved in where they don't belong. We lose out on both Batman (1988) and Batman Returns because of that. And what exactly does Matilda have to do with Halloween? Notably absent movies include Beetlejuice, Casper, and Coraline. And that three-hour blank block on October 25 isn't helping matters, given to their blecch shows The Letter and Bachelor Life. :grouchy:

Please post here if you know any other Halloween movies or specials airing this year. Thanks.

Luckily, I have both Beetlejuice and Coraline on DVD. Casper, unfortunately not, but I got volume 2 of the cartoon series (the 90's one based off the movie) which I liked better anyway. Personally, I'd rather buy the Beetlejuice cartoon series since the cartoons that came with the DVD aren't the best the series offered, but I don't have the cash for that right now.
