Hey everyone:smile:

I’ve been “lurking” here for a while and finally decided to post. I’ve loved the muppets since I was little, but I’ve just recently gotten into puppetry. At the moment, I’m in the process of making my first puppet. It’s a killer whale and it’s coming along pretty well. Anyone have any advice for a beginner?

Just take your time and do it as perfect as you can make it. In a few years, you'll be hopping quickly thru puppet building.

I remember when I began: YIPES!!

My first puppets were good then, but MAN! have I improved!!

Good luck!

Buy: The Foam Book...............it makes puppetry a dream. Patterns are cool ways to start, but just going crazy and making your own...............that is the most fun you will have. Experiment and make your favorite puppet/muppet.................You might be pretty suprised.
Dave
also...........antron fleece is the easiest stuff in the world to work with

feathers give muppets so much life and last but not least.................pingpong ball eyes really make your puppet look like it is looking in a definite direction............what a great illusion

Have fun!!! It's a hobby, you can't mess it up!!!
