If you liked the other script written by Gorgon Heap, wait until you see this!

Just note, that which is why it's fanfic, because Wynn passed away about 10 years after The Muppet Show started.

DESCRIPTION: This show would take place in a jungle instead of the theater.

STYLE: Eary Season 4 (circa Linda Lavin)

AIRING DATES: 10-8-79

COLD OPENING

(The dressing room is a cave with vines around.)

(Jungle Noises are heard while Scooter knocks on the cave door calling out "Oh, Ed! Ed Wynn! 15 seconds to curtain, Mr. Wynn.", then Ed (in the same suit that Milton Berle wore during his closing number) exits the dressing room as the audience cheers for him.)

ED: "Hiya, Hiya, Hiya, Scooter, ol' bean! Hmm, this ain't the theater."

SCOOTER: "I know it isn't. We can't use the theater."

(Ed raises his glasses as he whispers "Why?", and then put his glasses back on.)

SCOOTER: "Because... the power & lights went out."

ED: "Then what are we gonna use, Scooter ol' bean?"

SCOOTER: "You can call me--"

(A coconut falls on Scooter.)

SCOOTER: "SCOO-TER!!"

(Scooter faints.)

ED: (close-up) "Heh-heh-heh. (says the same words he said during the beginning of his show, "The Ed Wynn Show (1949-1950)"; I don't know what they are but at least you'll hear them in this wav file: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/sounds/theedwynnshow.wav.)

It's getting kind of late, so I'll post the opening theme and the rest of this fanfic tomorrow, 'kay?

Here's the theme & opening number:

OPENING THEME

It's The Muppet Show with our very special guest star Ed Wynn! Yaayy!! MUSIC!"

(The orchestra are a group of jungle animals playing the opening theme.)

(There are 2 rows in the shot where the chorus would sing "It's time to hit the jungle, let's hope we do this twice")

Row #1: YouKnow Bird, Annie Sue Pig, Snowth, Foo-Foo, Snake, Chicken

Row #2: Link, Quongo, Tiger, Boppity, Droop, Kangaroo

I agree with Barry. We'll be able to make a fairer judgement Dil when you make more progress
