I'm a filmmaker from Long Island and intersted in making a film which stars a puppet. It will be shot in video and film.
I am looking to talk with interested puppeteers, who can tell me about the process and all the things I would have to do to make a puppet interact with actors. I want to talk to someone early one to see if this can be done on a low-budget.
The story is about a LongIsland boy (puppet), in an 80's hairband, who falls in love with a girl(actor) from Manhattan. The boy is the only puppet and by the end of the film is played by an actor.
Anyone interested please contact me. I have made films before but never with a puppet. I need help in understanding the process. This film is a few months off.
