Well I need to ask you my fellow nembers of Muppet central about one inportent thing.
The one thing of that I been thinking right now!

    Are you a real writer?

Because I always tell people that I'm not much of a writer but they all replay that I'm really good at it.
It always bugs me when people told me that and so on.
    But Figgie understands about it!

Back in the day... (cue wheezing breath and tapping cane, blue-tick hound sleeping under chair, and lazy breeze by the porch) I used to belong to a chatroom on AOH-L titled "Author's Lounge." And yes, all of us in there wrote, many for a living. But we all went in there to relax and play with like minds, not to talk shop. So a running gag was that newbies would come in, watch the scroll, and then exclaim "None of you are REAL writers!" or "Are any of you REAL writers?" This always brought out a chorus of silliness: "WRITERS! Oh holy sh-- I didn't know there were WRITERS in here!" or "NO, we are all figments of your imagination" or "Can you READ? the sign above the door says LOUNGE!" ...so your question cracked me up, immediately bringing those days to mind. (And yes: Stephen King, Tom Clancy, Pat Maher, to name a few, were regs.)

Whether published or not, ANYONE who feels DRIVEN to write, who gets irritable when their schedule doesn't allow writing time, or who writes regardless of what others think, IS a "real writer." And we seem to have a few of those here. :)
