Are You Considerd A "Computer Genius?"

Well, I wouldn't call my self a computer genius, but I know my way around a computer pretty well.

I'm a nerd in general (not to be confused with a geek), and I'm at the computer ALL THE TIME... so yeah, I guess I am a computer nerd.

What is the diff between a "NERD" & a "GEEK"? I always thought they had been relatively the same thing.


~ I know more than I need to know about computers in realtion to my everyday life. I use computers for work, school, voluteer work, down time & hobbies. I use computers way more than I should.

Well I think a nerd is used for computer poeple and stuff like that and a geek can be used for a person who is like a transformer collector or something not related to computers and stuff. Am I somewhat right?

A geek is somebody who is completely upset with something.

A nerd is someone who know way to much about a specific think of subject.

Wait a minute... isn't that an Emo person?

As far as I know, Geeks and Nerds are pretty similar, except that Geeks are known for having cravings for polyester clothes with bowties and orthopedic shoes, science fiction and regular old science for that matter, and those role-playing boardgames. Not to mention that they can be really smart.

Nerds on the other hand, tend to wear things like needle-point sweaters with button-down shirts underneath, but aren't necessarily obsessed with science, they seem to like computers more and things like comic books and video games. And they too can be really smart.

So for that matter, I am a Nerd, I am NOT a Geek.
