I don't know much about Benazir Bhutto, but she seemed to be one of the good guys.

Here's the story:

She seems like an amazing person, coming back after all those years in exile, determined to make a difference whether or not it cost her her life. We need more people willing to take a stand and work for change.

She will be missed in Pakistan, and around the world.

I in fact had the honor of hearing Bhutto give a lecture at college several years ago, and she came off as a person with quiet determination and a strong sense of rationality that the rest of the region seems to have lost in the confusion. In general Pakistan could in fact use the Muppets at the moment, so if Musharraf has any heart, he should give thought to placing one or more key shows on the airwaves, maybe by some miracle that might show the extreme members of the populace the errors of their ways (you never do know...)

That is definitely a shame. The world is in a sad state.

I was simply shocked.
My mother as well.

It certainly is heralde. But God is still the Ruler of the world and one day He will do away with all evil and restore Paradise.

True, you have to believe there is always hope. It takes more courage, but it's ultimately worth it (and causes less stress I think!).

Heard it on CNN this morning. It's really shocking; Bhutto sounded like a voice of reason there...and whoever killed her also took out 22 others. I can't even imagine what this is going to do to the political climate there.

Oh I didn't know about the 22 others. Well, God bless...and I do hope the situation eventually somehow improves.
