Does anyone remember seeing them on Mister Rogers like I do? Man that's a great memory. The puppets had (and still do) have such a psychedelic 70's look to them. Nice to see they're still around.

I actually own a Bob Brown nun puppet.

A few years ago I directed a production on Nunsense. I told the producers that I needed to buy a good puppet for the "Sister Mary Annette" sequence. They choked and asked why I couldn't just make a puppet out of a sock. Clearly they didn't understand, so I searched for and bought one of Mr. Brown's puppets (sight unseen).

It is such a great puppet! The actress who used it had no prior puppetry experience, but exhibited a natural talent for it. When the producers saw the finished show, they finally understood the importance of having the right tool for the job. The puppet's personality played extremely well, all the way to the back row. Certainly a dressed-up sock could never have done the same.

Sister Mary Annette. That's great!

May I ask what you paid?

I want to say it was right around $300. And most definitely worth it!

Jinx, am I having deja vu or have you posted that story before?

Not complaining about a repeat, just a sanity check.

Hmmmm.... I don't recall telling that particular story before, but I'm sure it's entirely possible!
