Well we had smart, popular, mean, nice and crazy!

I think you can handle with this one!

Who do you think is the bravest one in Fraggle Rock?

Well we got Red, Gobo and sir blunder brain Fraggle!

Travelling Matt: "The Bravest Fraggle in the Rock?" Ha! Well! We all know who THAT has to be! (proud sniff)

    ...we need a matt smiley.

    That's true!
    But Matt gets scared sometimes!
    Remember?

Well to me being brave doesn't mean never being scared. It means being scared but doing something brave anyway. :)

In a way, Wembley is pretty brave. In A Friend In Need, Wembley gets mad at Sprocket when he thinks that Gobo has been eaten by Sprocket, Wembley starts to hit Sprocket in the nose; well, though, he faints when he realizes that he hit Sprocket. Still, Wembley can be brave when he wants to.:coy:

Mokey and/or Gobo and Uncle Matt

While Gobo is pretty brave being an explorer and going up to Outer Space for Uncle Matt's postcards, Mokey's the only Fraggle who seems unafraid of the Gorgs.
Heck, she barely batted an eye when Junior nearly missed her and instead bonked him on the nose with a radish for scaring Wembley.
She goes off to Wonder Mountain by herself, keeps a temperamental and toothy deathwort as a pet, has been shrunk to the size of a Doozer and nearly kidnapped by Begooney, been captured by Cave Fraggles, been sent to the past and faced the suspicious and hostile Ancient Fraggles, not even Boober blowing up at her (from Playing Till it Hurts, with Boober hysterically shouting "Don't tell me what to do!") seemed to faze her.

And despite Uncle Travelling Matt's shortcomings, he is pretty brave exploring Outer Space all by himself.

"Scared? Why, never! It is only itsy-bitsy little Fraggles who get scared. A brave fraggle like me has never seen fear in his LIFE, though I am keenly aware of my surround--<bumps into pole> OOF! now, where did that come from..."

    I love you, bingboing!

    <strikes a very brave, travelling pose> <sniff> Well...naturally...

I agree with this. I read somewhere (really wish I could remember) that an officer in the army asked, who's braver - the first or the second person who enters combat? The first goes in blindly without knowing what's there; the second knows what there is to fear, has seen the worst, and goes in anyway. Wembley is the one who goes in anyway.

I throw my hat into the ring and nominate.... Gobo! :smirk:

Okay, I would go between Gobo and Wembley, but since my favorites fraggles are Red and Mokey, I nominate Gobo for being the bravest explorer at Fraggle Rock. For Wembley, he is a good fighter (sort of), but he can be pretty smart. He's pretty silly but he is still the second bravest fraggle of Fraggle Rock. Does anyone agree with me or not?
  13. PanthraDion Well-Known Member

    I agree with you.
  14. Tom Fraggle Active Member

I'll agree to that. Wembley might wemble, but when it comes to making a definite decision and has heart set on it, he's the one to make it and nobody, I mean nobody, not even Red, will change his mind and he'll prove he is right if he must.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I'll add something else here really quick by throwing in a good hint for an example from one episode.

Remember... Pukka, Pukka, Pukka Squeetily Boink and fizzy water. :coy:

I love that song! Not only is it silly, it is so truly Wembley. Bwhahahaha! I laughed out loud when Wembley called his whoopie water, "fizzy water." Hilarous! However, the episode, "Wembley Wonderful Whoopie Water did have a theme about the environment, but the enviornmental theme hits very hard on the season four episode, "The River of Life." The lesson the episode trys to tell us is to think about how the river flows. Not only is it underground, it is above. Water flows from rivers to streams and seas. Without clean spring water or clear water in general, we would get sick or perish for good. Is there anyone that agrees with the theory I made right now?

I think you hit the nail on the head.
  19. muppetfan24/7 Well-Known Member

What does the expression "hit the nail on the head" means?
  20. Hubert Well-Known Member

If you hit the nail on the head, it basically means that you got across a great point and got it exactly right.
