Bravest Fraggle in Fraggle Rock

Exactly what Hubert said. Thanks Hurbert.

Someone might have said this already, but Boober is pretty brave--considering all the fears that he has to face each and every day, after all. I can't help but admire that. :sigh:

I agree--it's true friendship and loyalty that motivates Wembley's courage.

The biggest brave thing he did do in "The River of Life" was save his home from pollution even though it was scary at first. He didn't realize until the last minute that it was the "silly creatures" above that affected pollution everywhere including at Fraggle Rock and the Gorg's garden. Whew! That's enough details to knock some clouds out of my mind.

Hmmm! This is a tough one. It's a conundrum. How about I stir the pot and offer you yet ANOTHER way of looking at this. There is no one Fraggle that is more brave than the next. I think, and just listen up and bear with me here, but -I- think that each one of the main characters are shown as being brave in their own ways. It is done this way purposely to show that there are many different kinds of bravery.
Be it bravery facing something you fear, bravery in having the guts to show caring to outsiders, bravery in staring down the very worst part of yourself, bravery for facing the unknown, or bravery in speaking your mind no matter who stands against you....They are each and every one of them brave.
Anyway, that's how I see it.

I like your idea there Bandit, as the fraggle five had one way or another of being brave in their own special way. If you had to choose just one though, who would it be? There is really no right or wrong answer here and I wembled before choosing Gobo, just to answer the OP.

(Tease: Come on Red, you know it's Gobo.) /grin

Well that's what I'm saying. I think the show purposely gave them each a time to shine and show just how brave they are so TECHNICALLY there isn't anyone who is the bravest....*baps* ^_^ Wiseguy.

But I suppose if I absolutely am going to be forced to choose among the 5....even if I don't agree with choosing....Then I'd say it's a toss up between Wembley and Boober simply because the are not the most outgoing. Well, Boober is withdrawn and fearful but he fights his own nature to help his friends when he has had to. Wembley may not be able to make up his mind about alot of things but when it comes to his friends or people he cares about, he puts his foot down and sticks his neck out.

You'd expect that from Gobo or Red or Mokey so having it come from the two who might not always strike you as having strong personalities is a little surprising.

Though I maintain it's still wired into them as much as the others.

Does THAT answer your question, Oh Tom Demando Fraggle? lol

    Yes. lol ;)

I would have to say Gobo Fraggle. He's the leader of the Fraggle Rock and deals with Outer Space.

No way! I maintain they each demonstrate the different kinds of bravery there can be. But if it comes to conquering fear, its gotta go to Wembley or Boober. They constantly have to push against their natural timidness and do the right thing in times of crisis. I think they'd have the hardest time.

Boober? Yes! They do have the hardest times to deal with a crisis, but yeah Wembley & Boober are the bravest fraggles even though they worry so much. Gobo? Not so much!!
  12. bandit Well-Known Member

Oh Gobo's brave, no doubt. Like I said, I think that the show is designed in such a way that we can look to each of them to demonstrate a certain kind of bravery. They each embody a different type of bravery and so are therefore EQUALLY brave. But the characters who constantly have to battle their natures and most basic instincts the most here are Wembley and Boober. They each have to work twice as hard to take decisive action in a situation that could really work against them. That's brave.

The truth is Gobo's the bravest, even though he makes mistakes. Wembley and Boober do work twice as hard for their bravery.

/lol. Been away for a weee bit due to RL issues, come back to see you all in full discussion here over the bravest Fraggle. I've already cast my lot on whom I thought was the bravest, Gobo. But what tickles me pink or yellow, your discussion for some reason reminds me of the episode, "Manny's Land of Carpets".

Just to put a tease in here, I'd choose Manny's Land of Carpets any day over Bubba's Burger Barn. After all, you're guaranteed happiness. /really_BIG_grin :coy:

Oh! I remebered that episode! Large Marvin's wish was granted from that black box to go to Bubba's Burger Barn. Bwhahaha! Gobo did find out in the end that this box or the voices was messing up their minds or something like that.
