Street Season 48
Sesame Street's 48th season
officially began Monday August 6 on PBS. After you see the new episodes,
post here and let us know your thoughts.
Discussion in 'Muppet Babies' started by Baby Gonzo, Sep 2, 2008.
It makes her unique.
She may be girly, but she's pretty tough and demanding too.
Yeah, that's for sure. And I'd have to say, while Baby Scooter is least like his adult counterpart, Baby Miss Piggy is the most like hers.
When Henson died, I think Muppet Babies was the production most severely hit. You could see the changes in the characters and the format of the show pretty soon after and it was a sharp contrast in my opinion. Even with Baby Piggy, if you look at the earlier shows, she's a dead ringer for how she's going to turn out as an adult. Even the little "inflec-shee-uns" in her voice were identical to the adult Miss Piggy when putting on airs. But as the show wound to a close, she was more like your typical spoiled brat, and reminded me more of Angelica from Rugrats.
Kind of ironic, considering Nick aired the show in syndication.
Actually, adult Gonzo fell for Piggy at times too, mainly early on 'The Muppet Show.' Remember how he pursued her in the Mummenshantz episode. Though his crush on her ended in the Madeline Kahn episode. He also showed interest in her in 'The Muppet Movie.'
Heck, Gonzo fell for Big Bird once too! XD
And Julie Andrew's pet cow!
I think Gonzo has a thing for barnyard animals. And poultry in general.
It's funny that Gonzo can't tell which chicken is Camilla, whilst we fans can (she's the only one with blue eyelids).
I guess he's just not paying attention to her "makeup".
I love this thread , i am really liking the insight about fozzie i had noticed the changes as i watched the muppet babies when i got the chance as a adult .
The change in Fozzie was oviouse to me , yes about the neves as a Muppet Baby, and wondering am really funny epecally in the epsoide where he got depressed, i mean about his funny Jokes will someone really like me and such .
That is normal for us all as i have found out .
You know that was the only Muppet Babies eposide that made me cry a little everytime i see it .
I really cried the very first time that i saw it .
That was a sad episode. I really felt sorry for Fozzie.
I can't help but to cry when I see the Faster Than a Speeding Weirdo episode. The way it was handled that he wasn't sure if she would "pull through" was really sweet and he showed real remorse over his actions. In the end, when Gonzo is reunited with his Camilla plushie, I just feel so happy for him.
Some episodes made me feel sorry for Fozzie. Though he was often happily oblivious to how bad his jokes were--and still are--you cannot help but feel as if the bear chose the wrong profession.
Yes that was the other eposide that really made me cry , to for Gonzo , i was going to post it when i was posting about the fozzie eposide but i could not remember the title of this one with gonzo , was so happy though for him at the end when he got reutinted with the great sfuffed comella , he also did a great sad song , i loved though how the outfit that he wore was almost like Elvis
You mean "Faster Than a Speeding Weirdo", which Gonzo's daredevil antics nearly cost him his dear Camilla.
YES THAT IS IT ! THANK YOU SO MUCH I HAVE WONDERING THAT MOST OF THE DAY . I miss that eposide so much it is one of my faverites even though it does make me cry somewhat still , like the one with fozzie that i spoke about eariler today . Now i will for get it again thanks so much wwfphooh . you have made my day .
Glad to be of help.
Yeah, first season of the Muppet Show, Gonzo tells her several times he has a crush on her.
But in the first season, the characters aren't their true selves, as the show's just started!
Gonzo also indicated a slight comic crush on her in TMM, "I'll eat with you Miss Piggy!" And also in Season 2 or 3 he goes to her dressing room to inform her that he's over his crush on her.
And for a more recent example, in "The Muppets on The Muppets" on the Season 2 DVD Gonzo admits to having a crush on her... "It was the 70's, I don't want to talk about it..."
