Sea Beast Puppet Company is looking for overhires, marketing interns, performers and company members who want to play with puppets! We are a Glen Ellyn based children’s puppet company that writes, directs, builds, produces and performs all original shows and we are seeking to build a pool of interested and talented people to help us out in a myriad of ways.

Performers: We are looking for talented actors to perform in our shows. Puppetry experience is not necessary but is definitely a plus.
Overhires: We are also looking for people interested in helping us build all of the elements that go into creating an amazing puppet show such as: construction of sets, sewing curtains and costumes, sewing puppets, etc…
Marketing: We need people that are marketing gurus to help us get our name out there!
Company Members: Ideally, we are looking for people like ourselves to help us out with all of these activities and work with us to further the company in the coming years.

Sea Beast has been around since 2009 and has performed in a multitude of venues in the Chicagoland area including the C2E2 Comic Convention and the Illinois Storytelling Festival, as well as venues outside of the state such as the LEAF festival and the Port City Puppet Festival in North Carolina, the Artmania Festival in Honolulu Hawaii and the UNIMA conference in Perth, Australia. We also have a webseries out called “Dinosaurs at the Office” that can be seen on our YouTube channel and regularly curate a puppet slam that features Chicagoland area puppet artists as well as national and international short puppet videos.

You can see some of our work at seabeastpuppetry.com, facebook.com/seabeastpuppetcompany and seabeastpuppetry.wordpress.com.
If you are interested, please contact Mary Kate at seabeastpuppetrymk@gmail.com to request a time for an interview.

Some pay is available per position, payment can be discussed at the time of the interview.
