I have never made a desktop background before, but I loved the images on the kermitage website for the character guide. I arranged some of these images into a desktop background using Microsoft Picture It!. I thought it turned out pretty well actually. It looks similar to the opening sequence from the Muppet Show. I wanted to email it to a friend who does not have Picture It but I have no idea how to convert this final image to another program. I tried to copy and paste the image into Paint but it shrank the image so that it was not much larger then a thumbnail. Stretching just made it blurry. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Don't bother with Paint, you'll need something more powerful. If you have a hi-speed connection you could always download a trial version of something like, say, Adobe Photoshop.

Copy it and paste it to Paint, but this time if it says 'This image is too big for the canvas, do you want to enlarge teeh canvas' say yes, not no.
