How would you be able to cover the Foam body with fleece and fur? Is there some kind of specific pattern that can help cover the body with those materials?

I depends if you used a pattern for the foam. You can add a 1/2 inch to the pattern and that can work if you haven't added any features. Most of the threads are on covering the face with fleece, but the technique is the same, only most puppets have basic body forms, and unique patterned facial features.

It helps to search here, and some of the other puppet forums on the web. You can check out the Muppet Central thread http://www.muppetcentral.com/forum/threads/covering-puppets-with-fleece.713/

You can check out the tutorial from Project Puppet

There is a great video series from StiqPuppets

Hope these give you the direction you're looking for.

The techniques of draping and pinning should work for any shape. I've seen a number of different type of female bodies so their isn't one answer. Will all of puppet building there isn't one way to do anything. Add in the complexity of the female form, and I've seen several different ways to render a womanly body.

If you haven't started I was referred to this doll tutorial http://dollmaker.nunodoll.com/girldoll/. I'm looking to apply some of the techniques here to a female puppet I'm building.

You mentioned Fur. The techniques in the doll tutorial won't work well for fur, as most fur doesn't have much give and you can't easily cut along the bias.
