I posted this on another board this morning, but I thought I'd post it here as well. I was cruising Barnes and Noble with my boyfriend, Brent, when he stumbled across this book:
Dating Big Bird
by Laura Zigman
WANTED: SINGLE YELLOW MALE
Ellen Franck isn't in love with Big Bird. After all, he's a big yellow Sesame Street character -- and she's an intelligent single woman with a fabulous job. On the other hand, Big Bird is looking like a better candidate for fatherhood every day: he's tall, affectionate, and steadily employed. And right now, for Ellen, thirty-five years old and dying to have a baby, almost any father will do.
So that's that. It was just twisted enough for me to buy, and I started reading it already. I'll post comments when I'm done. It seems to be a quick read (I'm already on page 99 of 246).
