Do Disney costumes wear out?

Does anybody know if the walk-around costumes used at the various Disney theme parks wear out over time?

I'm sure they do, but I also heard once that they make new ones before that happens. I don't know how long they are in use for before using a new suit, but think about it; the cast members inside (I also heard) have a fan in there to help keep them cool, but I know for a fact that they still sweat profusely. On top of that, you got kids jumpin' and tuggin' on those things all day; so in truth, I'd imagine they wear out and get smelly pretty quick, and it's not Disney's style to use worn out stinky stuff. I also heard that over 80% of the cast members in full character suits are women!
