Anyone remember the Dragnet parody on SS? The muppet that plays Joe Friday was looking for a W. When they found the W, the W claims to be a M instead??

Anyone know where I can find a copy of that skit?

Hi BillKal, welcome to the form. For future reference, you might want to put this in the Classic Sesame Street discussion forum. I hope you like it here.

Hello BillKal and welcome to Muppet Central. You know, I've got family round North Haven, I think, not exactly sure now.

Anyway, the characters featured in that sketch are Sergeant Thursday and Ben, Sergeant Thursday's Partner.
Ben was voiced by Jim in his normal speaking tone, and the W was voiced by Jim as well but with his gruffer streetwise tone.
You might want to ask Boober_Gorg, I think it's on one of the episodes I got from a deal with him.

Hope this helps and have fun exploring MC.

I know EXACTLY where you can find a copy of this skit.

The Sesame Street DVD "ALL-STAR ALPHABET" has it as a bonus extra.

I know, because I've only watched this skit, like 500 times this past month.
